About the Role
Velvetech is expanding its AI capabilities and looking for an AI Solution Architect to design and lead enterprise-grade AI and data-driven solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for shaping AI system architecture for client projects — from discovery and technical design to implementation oversight. You will work closely with engineering teams, data specialists, and client stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining architecture design and technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end AI architectures (GenAI, ML, RAG-based systems, automation workflows).
- Define integration approaches with client systems (APIs, microservices, data platforms).
- Establish best practices for AI solution design, security, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead technical discovery and feasibility assessments.
- Guide engineering teams during implementation.
- Select appropriate AI/ML models and infrastructure based on business needs and cost efficiency.
- Define MLOps and monitoring strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities with technical input and solution design when needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or system architecture.
- Proven experience designing production systems using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Practical experience with AI/ML or Generative AI implementations.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and data pipelines.
- Experience with RAG patterns, vector databases, or AI orchestration frameworks is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and observability practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with client stakeholders.
- English proficiency sufficient for direct client communication.
Nice to Have
- Experience in enterprise solution delivery within consulting or outsourcing environments.
- Familiarity with MLOps and AI governance practices.
